I just looked at my Haynes manual, what a POS! It doesn't say how the controller, mounted on the radiator, works. Just that there are 2 hoses, but it doesn't say where they go.
Did you clean the plug at the controller with a tooth brush and electrical contact cleaner?? It could be that one of the hoses is cracking and letting air in, causing low pressure?
You know if you go to a dealer, he will probably replace the controller $$.

Klaus,
Thanks for the fyi. I don't have a haynes manual and have no idea where the plug and controller is , but we'll check it out. I noticed that after reseting the codes and drive the car for about 20 miles or so, then 241 code shoots back in....so there really is a problem.

Isn't that turbo boost pressure fault? Does your car drive okay? I think you might need to check the boost pressure with a gauge, or take a chance and replace the pressure switch.

Sorry Paul,
His car has no turbo. The EGR flow is too low (241) whatever that means. I cant find that one in my Haynes.

ohhh, then I guess his egr valve is not opening or the pressure switch that confirms the egr has opened is non-functional. I know you cleaned the egr, but that doesn't mean it's working properly. It could also be a wiring problem to the egr. Does the egr receive 12 volts during normal (warm) driving?

Or he has the wrong OBD2 code.
