HELP V70-XC70 2000

I am looking at a 2000 v70 Auto Trans (non -XC, with 75,000 miles for $7500. All the service records are intact and the carfax search lists the vehicle with a clean history. The vehicle drives and appears to be in good condition.
I have scanned this sight for generic problems for the 2000 to be alert to.
What was the first year Volvo started using the electronic controlled throttled?? What do I need to be aware of, check, etc.... Thanks for the help.

Franz (2003 XC, 1994 740)

The Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) was introduced in 1999. Volvo has agreed to service/replace it up to 10 years or 200K miles, which ever comes first, of course.
You will be given little warning when the ETM fails. Sometimes, it will just stutter for a while, but most likely it will find you in the middle of a rainstorm in rush hour traffic and the nearest dealer 100 miles away :)
If there is a dealer close by, they can down load temporary software which will help. Check for service records.
$7500 is a reasonable price. Make sure the AC is ice cold as the replacement of an evaporator is about $1500.
