My friend has a '98 V70. The front passenger side door won't open from the inside. It works with the handle on the outside though. I was going to pull the door panel, but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem. I wanted to get any parts that I would need before I take the panel off.

    There is a plastic ended cable that goes into the door handle -- it broke on mine. My indy Volvo shop zip-tied it together, I'm not exactly sure how but it's been OK for about 6 months. The "real" fix is the cable plus it's attached latch, which is $$$.
