brakes all around V70-XC70 2004

Any suggestions as to what type, brand of brakes to buy. In addition, is there any preventive maintenance that goes along with a brake job?

    The Volvo brakes seem to make the least noise but also create a lot of brake dust. Check the rotors with a micrometer and replace as necessary. I use the Brembo rotors because that is what my parts guy carries (also used on the Porsche if that matters). If you replace the rear rotors, also check the emergency brake pads for possible replacement. They can either wear out or delaminate. Consider flushing the brake fluid every couple of years. Use some brake grease on the rear of the pads to dampen noise. Torque the lugnuts to about 82 ftlbs.
