Dead car S40-V40

Hello!

I have volvo v40 2.0i with ecu number s113727104D and i try chip tuning on my eeprom m28f512. I have read out file from orginal prom i write checksum number and i try another file and flash this i test car is not start, I flash back my orginal file to prom and test start the car but is dead. Is maybe immo protect is wrong, i wonder if you can help me with this problem.

Dead car S40-V40

Did you program it in fast mode or in normal (slow) mode? Highly suggest slow mode and verify at max and min voltage not just nominal.

Make sure the chip is properly seated in the socket.

It is a simple FLASH chip, there are no security bits or funny settings. It should just simply work unless you have damaged the chip with static electricity or damaged the ECU by bending the circuit board when you refitted the chip.

Don't think you will get much response on this forum, I am one of very few electronic engineers on here. But hope you get it going.
