brake squealing noise 850

Hi,
I had my rear brake pads and rotors changed. Had my indy mecahnic do it for me. Put on after market parts : pads ( danblock) rotors (OP parts).

After a couple of days, car starts making noise when brakes are applied moreso when slowing down or parking. It did that before that's why i decided to have the rear brake system serviced. Front brakes are still good.
Now the squeaking noise is worse and terribly annoying. did my indy mechanic messed up or the after market parts are bad? What could have went wrong? It used to have after market parts before and never made noise?

Thanks again.

Do a search - noisy brakes are a top topic here and at volvospeed,

MANY people have removed new noisy pads and put Volvo pads in.

If you check my address. you can see that we have had MANY brake jobs over the last 11 years (4 drivers).

NEVER a noise fron Volvo pads done by Volvo techs.

We have had several cars bought used with noisy pads in them.

I wonder if your mechanic put in the required shims. IPD sells an anti squeal gel that works great. Very easy to do yourself, just pull the pads out and apply the goop and put them back in.

Klaus,
Thanks for the reply.

I saw the mechanic put the old shims back though the parts that i got did not come with shims, is should have known better. Oh well...at times; after market parts sucks. Last time i had the rear pads replaced i remember i also used after market parts and worked ok.

Thanks again
