Fuel Low Light V70-XC70

Hi Klaus & Co...

Had reset milage on my car at 270 as suggested... and total miles are
now 340... I expected the light to come on by now.. or will it take
effect on the next tank full...

I checked in the owners manual for 98 and 99 and could not find
and mention as to how to caliberate the gauge or float to remedy this..

Any help would be Appreciated...
ManyThanks
Greg

Turn the knob for the trip computer - to the right of the steering column - so that miles to empty show in the readout. The gas gauge will get to the red mark at about the time the low fuel light comes on. Usually 40 to 50 miles left.
Your gas gauge cannot be recalibrated. All a dealer will do is take your money and give you a new, not needed, in-tank sensor.
It is not reccomended to run a tank dry, besides, if the price of gas goes up when you HAVE to tank up, you lose :)

      Hi Klaus....

      Thanks Again...

I Conclude that this will not work for me as I do not
have a trip Computer... I just have the milage reset.. and I thought
that you were refering to this... I thought somhow it would feedback
      to the ECU etc.

      Regret the Confusion,
and Thanks for your patience and effort to Help..

      Sincerely,
      Greg
