Advice in selling 97 850

Hello,

Well I went and did it. I bought a new 07 V70 2.5T. Price was good and I had planned on replacing my 97 850 sometime in the next year. I did not want to buy the 08 wagon since it will be the first year of a new model.

Anyway, my favortite car of all time will go on the blocks this April. I need some help figuring out a price that is reasonable enough to make a quick sale.

The car is in very good condition, maintained at dealer since new, one owner,
850GLT wagon with factory front fogs and an extra set of snows. It will have 135K miles in April. AC works great. All factory maintence is current with oil change schedule of 3K with dino. Tranny flush every 30K. About 1/8 of a qt. oil consumption between changes. Kelly Blue Book shows a private seller value at $5000 in good condition. I plan to price at $4500. Region is Minneapolis, Minnesota which has a pretty strong used market.

What do you think about my price? I know the final judge will be the market.

Thanks,

Chuck

    Advice in selling 97 850

    Chuck,
Keep an eye on Craigs list : http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cgi-bin/search?areaID=19&subAreaID=0&query=volvo&catAbbreviation=car&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

Yours sounds like a competitive price. Use multiple pictures and at least 2 paragraphs in your write up. Let them know if it was Borton or Kleins Volvo.

Remember, no rust is a MAJOR concern, even though new Volvos don't rust around here.
