How best to pry driver's side axle from tranny? 850 1994

While I'm waiting some advice on how to separate the axle from the hub, I was wondering what the best technique was for pulling the axle from the tranny. There appears to be no room on the front size of the axle, so there is only access on the top, rear and bottom.

One post described a 3mm gap between the boot and tranny case. It seems like I've barely got that, if any.

Many posts say not to bind the axle. So I'll need two screwdrivers, positioned 180 degrees apart, right? What other "special" tools have been used?

Is there a factory made tool made to pop this thing out? If not too expensive, I'll buy it, wait a year to validate my fix, then Ebay it.

Thanks in advance!

- Rick
