BLUE CLOUD & OIL LEAK? 850 1997

97-850-T5-105K- peridically blows a blue cloud behind me for a few minutes. A friend says it needs "high speed tune-up" - - rev it up to 4.5-5.0 rmp for
15-20 minutes and should "blow it out". (this seems to help, but it comes back again) Am I just plugged up or ? Also dropping about 2 tbsp of oil on the driveway after driving - - could this also come from a "plugged up" engine? Thanks. Swede in Colorado.
