Not my C70 !!! It stalls out C70

I really love my C70 its old a 1998 but it used to run like a top, Until one night I was on the expressway accelerating and the car lost gas pedal response, and then stalled could it be the ETS or something worse, ever sense that night it starts but stalls out, I love my c70 so much it will sit in my driveway until its fixed, as someone told me to junk it, I also have an 01 XC70 and 02 S60 2.4t . New Volvos are wonderful but the old C70 is a statement even in the year 2006. Well if worse comes to worse I’ll make a museum piece thing out of it..... The C70 is the other me
But any ideas on what is wrong would be appreciated!!!!!!

I would check the spark plug wires, including the coil wire, to make sure they are ok. Also, check the spark plug wells (under the Volvo 20V cover). Sometimes oil or water gets in there and basically shorts out the ignition cycle.

I would also check the fuel pressure as mentioned, and the air filter too. Are there any error codes? It is a good idea to get a code reader, that can help, plus it is usable on other OBD2 cars.

If there are no error codes, then it is probably something basic, fuel, spark, or air related. But check for error codes first.

At the end of the fuel rail is a schrader valve where mechanics can attach a fuel pressuree gauge. Turn the ignition on and off to activate the pump. Then, with a rag in hand, push on the valve and see if there is pressure. If not, your problem is narrowed down to fuel pump or relay.
The relay is under the fuse box, #103. Make sure it goes "click" when you turn the key to on.

Don't know what's wrong, but rest assured it's not the ETS. Your '98 had a wire to the throttle...no ETS (electronic throttle sensor or ETM- module).
Could be a dying fuel pump, or fuel pump relay or even as simple as clogged fuel filter. Check fuel and spark to determine which is the problem.
