Headrest Removal S60 2005

Does anyone if the front seat headrest can be removed on a 2005 S60? I'm trying to haul something through the trunk and it's in the way. If it comes out I sure can't see that the trick is.

Hi Deanyel
If the S60 is like the V70 which I think it is. You can also lean the whole seat back forward so that it lays flat. There are to small black handles on the back side of the front seats (at the far bottom just before it curves under)if you pull up on them at the same time and lean the seat forward, it will lay over and will be out of your way.

That also works. If I push the passenger seat back the headrest will then clear the glovebox. Push down on the headrest, bring the seat forward again and the headrest will go under the glovebox, making it quite flat and stable. Nice to know - thanks.

If the seats are similar to the S 70, you release two push in clips on the back of the seat. Follow the headrest down the back to just before the seat curves inward. Feel around and you should be able to find an indentation which you push in. One for each side of the headrest. Two hands will do it, but an extra pair may help. Good Luck,

dick
