Help! Need mechanic in Anaheim, CA V70-XC70 1999

My wife is 450 miles away in Anaheim, CA, and the Check Engine light came on. She says it is not running right. (I don't know any other details).
I need to get her into a shp that can be trusted ASAP. Any know anybody there?

      Thanks.
      Doing a web search produced the name "Doctor Volvo Specialist". An independent in nearby Fountain Valley. In the meantime, I am having her go to Autozone to borrow their code reader, and I will talk her through pulling the codes. Then I'll determine if it is a problem that can be left until she drives back home.

      (Now she says the car is running normally, but still has the Check Engine light on. "Maybe it wasn't limp home mode...Maybe it was just the bumpy roads in West Hollywood. The car ran fine the 60 miles from West Hollywood to Anaheim.") Dontcha love doing remote diagnostics?

        Fountain valley is further south. She is closer to Fullerton, CA, which is next door to Anaheim. I go to Herb's Volvo Indy service for emergency...the tel.no. is (714)526-8080. Only thing is they charge for error readings, i.e. diagnosis charge of $65.

        Since she seems to be running around, if she gets closer to Santa Monica, she can go to BVA Indy Service, also a Volvo specialist. (310)393-9889. 1522 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA, 90404. Ask for Manny, and tell him Sonny referred her from a Volvo forum. They have a family atmosphere. This is about 30 miles from Anaheim though, and he does take care of his people, they close from 12-1pm. I drove there for my timing belt service.

        btw, I have a 98 v70, and got a check engine light one time. It was attrbuted to cracking air pipes near front of engine - small tubes. Or it can also happen if the gas cap is not closed tight. If she did not feel any sluggishness or other similar symptoms, it could be a minor issue. But driving back 450 miles, better to have it checked.
