car vibrating after replacing rear-pads and machining rear-rotots S70

Car brakes were squeeking so i took it in for brake inspection.

Got rear-pads replaced, rear-rotors machined and car drove well for a while - but then:

During high-speed braking (from 50mph down) the ABS and brake warning indicator lights switched on. Otherwise it drove well.

Also, now car vibrates. Vibration is worst at low speeds whilst braking - at fast speeds there is noticable (minor) vibration.

I have been also told (by two dealers and one independent Volvo mechanic) that the 850/S70 rotors should never be turned, only replaced.

      machining rear-rotors - surely you didn't S70

Of course you should replace the rotors, front and rear, with new ones when they are scored, worn, or warped. The same is true for BMW, Mercedes, and other performance cars.

I take it you did not go to a dealer. Too bad, you got screwed with a bad brake job.
The ABS light came on because one or both of your rear brakes locked up. The brake warning light only comes on when there is an imbalance in pressure or there is low fluid. If the brake light went out after you stopped, check the level of brake fluid, now!

I would recommend new factory pads and rotors, drawbridge shims in the rear if it does not have them and a new ABS ECU.
