850R Cylinder Head 850 1996

Was there anyting special about the R cylinder head. Is it the same head as on other 850's or T5's. Cams different? Any info would help.

Thanks

From what I understand, the only differences in the R to standard turbo are:

price
interior and body treatments
suspension
wheels
chipping tuned to produce greater hp for a duration of 10 sec.. However I do believe that the turbo has slightly lower compression 8.2-1 vs 9.2-1 stock.

Does anyone know better?

I think you are correct but a T5 also has the same lower compression in later 850's and early 70 series. This should help: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=14333
