Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a good Volvo mechanic in Sydney, preferably in the Northern Beaches area, who isn't going to have to negotiate with my bank manager every time I see him.

I've just had the turbo link rod re-connected and have lost turbo boost again and need to see someone to fix it up for me.

Any thoughts?

I'm in Sydney and I use Precision Automotive in Mascot. They are Volvo specialists and don't charge anything like the dealers do. Yeah, it's not near the Northern beaches, but they will provide a loan car for you if you book it in advance at no charge. Ph no is 9693 1919.
There used to be a bloke in the Northern beaches area servicing volvos- he used to advertise in the Manly daily- said he was a 'mobile' service. Don't know if he still does.
There is also Killara garage at Killara(9418 1111) They advertise as Volvo specialists, and I have gone there before but they charge quite alot and so I have not been back.

By the way, you said you had an 850 turbo- what is the power output of that engine? I'm thinking of getting one and can't find too much info on them.
