I have a 98 v70 xc and the blower motor is not working. I have repkaced the resistor and the blowwer motor and it is still not working. I have blinking light on the ac on off switches. What could it be?

    When you went in to replace things did you find any evidence of corrosion or water damage? Any possibility the wiring or connectors are not making good contact? Though unlikely in most cases, this happened to me. After cleaning up.\, my blower worked fine for about 3 yr - then the motor (original) stopped working because brushes had worn down too far. My car has manual climate control.

    Did you check out the relay and/or control unit?

      Where is the relay at? I had a 95 850 with the same problem and it turned out to be a relay. But, I don't see the realy on this one.

        Depending on model, and if you have the ECC (Electronic Climate Control) yours may not actually have a relay...it's all in the ECC control unit. Sorry for all of the confusion.

          It does have ecc, how do I get the ecc out. I have a 00 s70 with ecc also. I thought I would swap them out and see if that fixes it. Is it the same part for the 98 and 00 ecc, it looks the same. would this cause any problems with the 00 when I return the part back to it, software downloads etc!

            I don't know if the '00 will need a software download for the ECC or not. Hopefully others will chime in. I would think not, but then again I don't want to tell you wrong.
