perhaps someone here can help. i've got a 99 s80 t6. a few days ago while driving off the x-way i noticed to torq converter stayed locked. when i came to a complete stop it shutters just like if it was a manual and i forgot to debpress the clutch pedal. i've been shifting it manually and it seems to help it get out of it's own way. when i put it in (d) you can feel when it shifts to second it lugs bad. i'm certain the tc is locked. i was going to drop the trans and replace the tcc solinoid figuring it was stuck. we have had record heat the past few days and this is when it started. i have alldata at my shop and it doesn't show a test procedure for testing the soliniod from the harness. anyway, my thought was, if it IS the tcc solinoid why no trouble code? there's no check engine light, nothing. i know the light works as i bought the car with 50k on the clock as the owner couldn't get a misfire sorted out. (found it to be a broken wire to one of the coil packs. can anyone shed light on why the tc would stay locked and no trouble code light? when i shift it manually the up/down shifts are tight and strong. no slippage ect. any sugestions?
