fault code 2-3-1 on socket A7? 850

I have a fan that keeps cycling on and off (just started doing this today, doesn't stop even when cool) I have a '94 855 and I swear that I just read the codes on A7 and got a 2-3-1. I have no idea what this could be, am I seeing things? Thanks!volvochick245/855

Time for glasses! A7 is for the instrument cluster and there is no 2-3-1.

Are you sure your engine coolant thermostat is OK?

I also got the 2-3-1 code on A7 the other day and can't figure it out. Any help?
