linear pressure switch S70 1998

I have been having problems with my AC, Long story. I was told by someone who had the same symptoms the problem was the "linear pressure switch" located behind the battery. I can't find any documents or message threads that refer to this. Does it have another name? Anyone know anthing about it.

that person is confused. There is a pressostat(low pressure switch) in the AC system, that if bad won't let the AC work, but no "liner pressure switch"

Thanks, That is the switch on the compressor itself, correct. By the way this is on a 98 S70.
Thanks

The pressostat is close to the firewall on the right side, and has an electrical connector plug. Its easy to replace, just unscrew it. No need to discharge the system.

Passenger side firewall, correct? Is this a common AC issue, I have been having a hard time getting any info on it. I have read about and tested the low pressure switch on the compressor and searched hi and low for cabin temp. sensors, bought a ECC on Ebay... I just can't find good documentation, any recomendations? I have a Haynes and it is not very helpfull. Once agian appreciate the response.
