stuck heater a/c control flap 850

I believe I have a stuck door in my a/c heater system in the dash. How do I get to it on my 97 850. Does the entire dash need to come out? What causes them to stick?

    not sure if it is the same as my 94 (which is auto temp, not manual) but there are a heck of a lot of doors under there. found the recirc damper door stuck on mine while replacing the blower fan (which i found out later i didnt need! another story for another time!) too darn big and expensive a job to change it-- most have a MOTOR that dies. if you know someone with an OBD reader there should be a code for which door it is. my old on-board diagnostic systme on the 94 identifes the specific door.
    BTW, it turned out that my power module on the auto temp system needed replacing, not the blower!! ugh!!!! expensive mistake!
    PS - if you go to work under or behind the dash, stock up on torx drivers and bits!!!!
