My wife has a 2003 XC-70. I change the oil every 5K miles and the "reminder service light" comes on every 7K. My wife stopped by Volvo to have the light reset. She said it took about 5 seconds,they used her key, and appeared to push the trip meter button to perform the reset, never starting the car. I would appreciate knowing how that is done for future reference>> Art

    This has been covered often, but I don't mind repeating it.

    - turn key to accessory I position
    - hold trip meter button in (eith T1 or T2)
    - turn key to accessory II position (all diagnostic lights on)
    - the warning lamp for emergency lights or oil (can't remember) will start to flash off, then on again
    - count 5 flashes, turn off ignition and release trip meter

    Start car and your service reminder lamp should be reset.
