Does anyone know of any instructions/photos on repairing the main flap for the front windshield defroster? Having alot of trouble lately, all of a sudden trying to keep the windshield clear in the early morning.

There are not photos anywhere that I have seen. Make sure your center "fresh air" valve is closed. Come to think of it, my V70 doesn't push out a whole lot of air either, but the windshield cleans off in about 1-2 minutes.
Nothing like American cars! They sure do know how to heat/cool.defrost.

I thought I remember you stating several weeks back on this board, that it was
an easy fix. If so, can you tell me the best literature/manual that would explain how to fix it?

Sorry, I'm tired. The left rotor didn't want to come off of my V70. 15 minutes with a hammer and crow bar and PB Blaster! 2 hours for a one hour job.

KLAUS;
Is the lever arm for the recert door what they mean for the defroster flap fix? (The recert arm can be replaced should it have broken off the drive motor.)
I am confused as to what needs replacing to fix the flap. I thought had originally told me that you hated laying down on the floor under the steering wheel top do this job.

At 6'7" and 225lbs, there is no room for me to get under the dash! It is a real pain in the back without removing the seat. There are no diagrams for the defroster flap, all I can suggest is to get access to the air tubes under the dash and turn on the defroster and look for movement to determine which one is not working. And then return to the board and post what you discover, so that others can learn from you.
