Rough Start On 99 V70 V70-XC70 1999

I am having rough starts with my V70. In the morning, it tries to start, seems like it doesn't want to but eventually does. The whole car shakes. It will also do it when the engine is relatively warm, i.e., during the day. I asked the dealership about it and they said all V70s had that rough start.

Just curious as to what YOU have to say.

They all do it???? What a bunch of bunk! You either need a throttle body cleaning, which is always a good idea, or there is something wrong with your fuel delivery. To check the fuel pressure regulator, mine died on the 850 and caused hard starts, go to the very end of the fuel line at spark plug #6 and push in the schrader valve at the end of the line. If no fuel comes out, that is probably your problem. Make sure the engine is ice cold when you do this, because if there is pressure, you will get gasoline everywhere!

My V70 starts fine on the first try.

Are you getting a Check Engine Light? If so, stop by an Autozone and they will pull the code for you for free.
