fuel delivery problem 850

my '94 850 won't start. I check the plugs, they are getting spark, and I noticed there wasn't really an odor of gas in the cylinders - which is usually the case when you have been repeatly trying to start a car. I swaped out the two fuel relays (one in fuse box, the other near radiator) and still no start - even tried s new MAF sensor, as mine was acting wackly a while back. How do I determine if the cylinders are getting fuel? How do I test the fuel pump - and where is it - I hav a wagon. Note I did change the fuel filter about a year ago, has maybe 18K miles on it....also car is in good tune up shpae in terms of new air filter, plugs, dist, etc.

need help!

The fuel pump is in the gas tank, there is a cover plate under the forward lift up panel in the cargo area. When you turn the key to on, you should hear a one second whirr, when the pump is engaged.
At the very end of the fuel rail, close to the distributer, is a schrader valve. Just take the cap off and push in on the valve. If gas spurts out, you have pressure.

thanks..another question 850

checked as you said, and I have fuel pressure....plugs are new, and getting spark, MAF is new, as is air filter. car was running fine, then I turned it iff and it never restarted. What esle could it be? I got the battery charger on it now as the bat is getting a litle weak from my attepmts to start. Any suggestion of what I can try - coould it be some other sensor, although I have no trouble codes in fuel or ingition modules....

many thanks for your help

thanks..another question 850

Check ALL of the electrical connections around the engine, one may be loose. The idle air control motor should vibrate with the key in the on position, but if that isn't working you plugs should have been wet.
