no start condition for 850 850

My 850 turns over, seems to catch a bit, but will not start. Full tune up recently, and car was running fine. I was getting an engine code for MAF, and at times the car would stall, but I would just unplug and re-plug the electrical plug into the sensor and it would then run fine - could the sensor finally be dead? The car has 220K miles on it, and the MAF was replaced maybe 3-4yrs ago. I have let the car sit a couple days but still no start.

I checked and the plugs are getting spark..what else could it be? Can the cam position sensor also causer this? Wouldn't I get an engine code if it was bad? No codes are present in ignition or fuel modules...

Would appreciate any help...I need to get this thing started.

    Mark,
Have you gotten it started yet? When you crank the starter, have you tried 1/2 throttle for 30 seconds? You mentioned replacing the MAF with a spare, is this a known good one? Usually if the cam sensor dies, it triggers a code; same is true with a MAF.
Wire brush all 5 plugs, check the rotor and cap for scoring and dirt, make sure all plug wires are secure to the plugs.
I am at a loss. The no codes is strange.

no, not yet - not too much time to play with it today. I have not tried the 1/2 throttle, but will tomorrow

It did show a MAF code, and I replaced with a new unit...I cleared the code, and it has not reappeared. I will have a look and check electrical connections again incl. dist/rotor

I did spray some quick start fluid into the throttle body intake, and it sounded like it fired a bit but it never really caught...which leaves me to beleive the ignition is working...is this a correct assumption?
If I cannot find any electric/dist/rotor fault, I will order a cam sensor tomorrow....

    Mark,
I just saw your original post. If you have been unplugging and plugging the MAF, check the wires going in to the plug itself. I seem to remember some posts about the wires breaking near the plug. Check them carefully.
