What components to replace with timing belt? S70 1998

I have a 98 S70 N.A. with 140K on it.

Timing belt was done around 73K and I'm thinking I need to do it before I hit 150K (I drive a lot of highway miles everyday). How much longer can I go safely?

I know I need to replace the belt, and the waterpump as a precaution.

I have seen suggestions to replace the hydraulic tensioner too...is this a good idea?

Is there anything else to replace while I'm there that is a good idea at this mileage? I saw FCP also has listed a tensioner pulley too.

I want to do it right, but not replace things unnecessarily.

Thanks.

NOTE: Your year 1998 can have either hydraulic or manual tensioner S70 1998

so before buying parts, check your car by opening the cover for TB, use a flashlight to see better.

Go to volvospeed.com Bay13 for instruction.

I had my own tips which I posted before. I am sure you will find this useful:

Replace the tensioner and rollers. The water pump could be checked for tightness, it will probably leak and make noise long before it breaks off and kills the engine.

How many rollers are there? is this the same thing as the tensioner? (not the hydraulic one)

Check out the parts at FCPG:

Depends on the engine number, of course, but there is only one in addition to the tensioner.

Is it really necessary to replace the tensioner, waterpump, idler, and tensioner pulley at 140 K? My 850 is coming up on this interval and I'm planning to replace all of the above including both belts. It seemed like I read a post a while back saying that waterpumps usually go 200K miles with no problem.

Thanks,
Dave

That's why I reccomend having the pump inspected for wear rather than just replace it. It also depends on how often you have flushed the cooling system and if you used Volvo antifreeze. Change at 210K miles is mandatory, in my book.
