Volvo does not have a recommendation for coolant changes for my car. The typical recommendation was once 30,000 miles or two years. Have coolant formulas changed that much? What would you recommend, and why?

    The general rule of thumb is to change the coolant and to flush the brake system once every two years. That's what I've been doing.

    I say use the factory coolant in a 50/50 mix with distilled water. No problems, no worries.

    You can get it at a discount if you mailorder from Tasca Volvo in Seekonk, MA.
    Tell them you are out of state for the discount.
