I had mine replaced by the dealer in early 2005 as I recall. I heard about the reimbursement here. I contacted Volvo USA "customer care" and the woman cheerfully checked my VIN number and informed me I did qualify for the rebate or whatever they call it. She instructed me to send my original receipts and a letter explaining that I had talked with her, had not received a letter, blah, blah, to an address right here in Memphis, TN.

I hope it works because I could sure use the money.

Of course....however, the Volvo person admonished me to do that too. They were very helpful and knowledgeable when I called. Kind of surprised me with what customer service has become these days. We both spoke the same language (English).
