Oil cooler location V70-XC70 1999

I have a '99 V70XC, AWD. I need to change the oil, and the owner's manual says if you drain the oil cooler, as well as the pan, you need to add more oil. I can't find the oil cooler to save my life, and I can't find a book to help me. Can someone out there help? Is this great website the only place a "backyard mechanic" can find info? Thanks!

Sorry, but you don't want to drain the oil cooler. The hoses are tough to get off, besides the fact that the oil cooler is part of the radiator. Just take a look at the small hoses on the passenger side of the radiator, that's the oil hoses. I have found that leaving the plug off to oil pan for about 30 minutes will effectively drain the oil cooler. Please use a Mann oil filter.

The hoses on the driver side look the same, but they are the transmission cooler lines.

Why would you want to go somewhere else? Like:

    This site has personality!!!!

On 99 and newer cars the oil cooler is no longer in the radiator. There is a small cooler bolted to the back side of the oil pan, attached with 4 screws, and sealed to the oil passages with O-rings. There are 2 coolant hoses attached that flow coolant through the cooler.
