Idle Curiosity S60 2001

Car is a 2001 S60 T5.
Friends have asked me "how much boost?"
I haven't the foggiest other than "sufficient".
Is there an optional boost gauge for this car?
How much boost does it put up max?
The owner's manual doesn't seem to say anything about that or other
technical features. Would be great for my dear wife......

At stock (without any modifications) your car will do the following:
247 horse power with 243lbs ft torque at the wheels. Not sure what that translates into in terms of boost, but I'd say it's 1-1.2 bar or 10-12 or so psi, measured off the turbo's vauum line. Others can chime in if I'm wrong. With an ECU Upgrade (IPD), it will do 280HP/302Lb Ft torque and more with a downpipe. Hope this helps. Any after market boost gauge will work with just about any car...they are plentiful on eBay for under $100 including vacuum lines to tie it into your car's existing ones. If you want to get one, just avoid the really cheap ones and I would stay away from digital ones...you want to see the needle as your turbo spools up!
