LH 850 Front brake stuck while driving 850

Ok I am going to rip it apart tommorrow and see what's going on. Any one know about this or any tips and tricks. 1995 850 turbo I figue I will clamp the piston and the remove the caliper as if I was doing brake; then take the piston out and clean up the bore with like 400 grit wet/dry. clean off ant stuff put together and bleed. ant thoughts?

My informants all say to replace (with rebuilt or new) rather than try to resurrect a stuck caliper (unless you are somewhere where you have no hope to get a replacement). After cleaning with an abrasive you might be encouraging dirt and then water and rust to settle.

Both, Borton Volvo and my indy, told me to replace the caliper with a new one. I have a slightly torn boot. When I asked about all of the crud on the piston, same answer! I guess the single piston isn't worth the effort.
Lubing the slides is worth it to me.

about £60 ($90) should buy you a recon caliper my experience with calipers is you clean em up...and they go again...also replace the sliding pins while you have em out!

I cleaned it up. the out side dust seal was out if place. At least the car is running and I don't have to wait for parts. Will order a rebuilt soon. Thanks Rick
