850 rear shimmy 850 1993

When accelerating, there is a shimmy in the rear-end of my car. Neither of the wheels are bent and the axles are tight. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ross

Sounds like you may have a defective tire. Try swapping the front and rear tires one side at a time if you can't see anything obvious.

    Balance, alignment?

The tires are the same ones that have been on for 30,000 miles or so. I don't think the car is out of alignment; it steers fine and I haven't noticed any abnormal tread wear. How do I check to see if the shocks are bad?

      Thanks,
      Ross
