rear window motor trouble/posssibly electrical. Help! S70 1998

I have had trouble with the rear window passenger side. At first it would roll down and not up. Now it won't roll up or down. Is the motor replacement tricky? Also I would like to make sure that this is not an electrical issue. What voltage should I look for at the contacts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can't recall the last time I did a power window motor in an 850/S-70 model but I have done more window switch panels than you can shake a stick at. Sounds like your typical switch panel failure.

      Mark,
Thanks for the advice. I guess now it is time to figure out whether it is the switch panel on the drivers side front, or the switch on the passenger side rear. What does that front panel usually cost? Thanks again for your time.

      Regards,
      Henry

Does it not roll up or down from the front or the rear switch? A lot ot times it is the main on at the driver's door. You can pop the rear on out and see if you're getting electricity to it when you use the front switch...you'll need a volt meter. Do this before going for taking the door panel off.

I found that the voltage is present only for rolling the window down, so it must be the switch panel in the driver's seat. Also the windo does not roll down either, so I may have a bad motor as well. Thanks again for the help everyone!
