Problems to look for on the S70 series

I'm interested in the '98 thru '00 model years of the S70. I thought I read somewhere that there was a computer problem with them that was corrected with the next generation series from 2001 and on. Any comments and or suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

You're probably thinking of the throttle module situation. The later model cars went to a different configuration on that system and Volvo has since stepped up to the plate and offered a 10 year 200K warranty period on that piece of junk.

Buy the '98 and you don't have an electronic throttle module (ETM) to deal with at all. Other computer are just fine!
