EPA estimate for non turbo '95-'97 850s?

From time to time there are posts here regarding what gas mileage people are getting. I have been historically at the low end (or lower) of the numbers I have seen, but have a turbo. My car's window sticker says "19 CTY 26 HWY", and I get 23.5 in the summer doing 80 to 90% highway driving at a steady 79 mph over moderately hilly highways in northwestern NJ. Down to 21.4 in the winter under same driving conditions. I know, I need to slow down. The police let you go this fast here is 65mph zones.

My question is, can someone out there with a normally aspirated 850 tell me what their sticker EPA estimates are? I am curious how much better the gas mileage "should" be according to the EPA estimates. I know these are only estimates, but it gives me something to go by when I read about the guy who drives uphill each way to work and gets 28mpg. Thanks. '95 850T

    EPA estimate for non turbo '95-'97 850s? 850 1995

Thanks for the responses, guys. The link to the government site yielded estimates of 20mpg city and 29mpg highway for the na engine. I asked for the EPA # because I know the actual reports vary quite a bit. I have found over many years driving that for me the EPA # are fairly accurate (as a guide). I don't remember what the sticker was for our '72 caddy but I think it got around 12 mpg.

I appreciate those who offered their own mileage and Klaus' personal feeling my mpg isn't far off normal. From some of the previous posts I thought my numbers were far too low. I have already checked all of the things that normally cause low mpg. I guess the last one is under my control - a lighter foot on the highway (:

I have a N/A 96 850 and drive highway exclusively. I get approximately 28-29 miles to the gallon doing 80 mph for 5 hours straight (except for the occasional truck in the left lane, and when I hit Scranton and Harrisburg). Otherwise, I've never checked my sticker estimates, I was happy with the high 20's...

Your mpg is about right, and I would say that a non-turbo traveling at the same speeds would get about 2-3mpg more. The trouble is, most non-turbo drivers don't go that fast, it takes too long to get up to 80mph :)

Not sure of EPA estimates, but I have 93 auto tranny and a 94 5-speed manual, both non-turbo and both get about 29 MPG and a little less in winter - about 27.

Both are mostly highway miles and both are driven on mostly 55 MPH roads so agerage speeds are closer to 60 then 70.

Things we have found that effect MPG are tires (especially winter ones), stuck calipers, tune ups and the usual.
