Hi, can anyone tell me where the vacuum asist motor is located on these models or what it looks like , photo , drawing ,anything ? Trying to help a friend out with one and the secondhand dealer keeps sending what I can only presume are EGR electrical pumps ?
thanks in advance,

2000 it's under the battery box inside the front, left fender. Access by taking wheel well skirting or liner (whatever you call it) loose in front and you'll be amazed to see the nerve center of your brake system sitting in such an odd place. There are vacuum hoses with white plastic junctions that are prone to brittle failure (after which you'll have no power to the brakes at all, even after warmup), but can be replaced with brass fittings, if you're a little handy. There is a recall or TSB on these, I understand, whereby the dealers are to replace and relocate the whole pump assembly into the engine compartment somewhere, so this info may be dated.
