Camber/ Alignment 850 1996

I forgot to ask this in my last post, but having changed the front and rear struts and shocks and both front control arms, do I need to get an alignment/ camber adjustment done? If so, should I get a four-wheel or two (front) wheel alignment... and do they even do camber adjustments for the rear?

Thanks a bunch.

My understanding is that the rears shouldn't be out, but it's worth a check. IPD makes a kit for the camber on the rear, but the kit is really only necessary if mods are made (such as to lower the car). I would however definitely do a front wheel alignment after what you've done. Do a check on the rears as well for the "just in case," if they have never been checked. If you need the specs for alignment, post back. Most reputable alignment places should however have this data in their system.

Please tell us about this kit for the rear?
Goodyear did a four-wheel alignment for me last week and said the
right rear was off max camber and they couldn't adjust it further.

I was wrong...IPD sells a "front" camber kit (not rear, at least looking at their catalogue) that allows for 2.0 degrees more than what's normally adjustable. Cost is $33 a side. Fits all '93-'06 models exept a few S40 and V50's. Their website is still down, so if I were you, I'd call them and tell them what you're going through. They may have a solution for the rear too. Their toll free number is 800-444-6473.

Okay, so a yes to the front alignment and camber adjustment, and a maybe to the alignment on the rear and an unlikely on the camber on the rear?

Yes you'll need an alignment.

As long as you are doing it go for four wheel.
