Is this Normal? S80

Understandably, twin-turbo in a 2000 S80 put out a lot of heat. But is it normal the heat makes the hood so hot (back in August), where sometimes you can not touch it? It is extremely difficult to touch anything under the hood. The dashboard and the message center do not show any messages or suggest any abnormalities. I am new to this engine and I am wondering if there is anything wrong, or just I have to live with it? Thanks

I hope your car isn't black! Yep, they are hot enough to fry eggs (and fingers). Does get the snow off in the winter time...
