05 V70R vs V70 T5M V70-XC70 2005

The 05 R is a beautiful car and getting one is just about within my grasp, but folks, I gotta question. The R has so much NEW technology on it Haldex, sensors, servos, software, computers etc, and I'm OK with that. But what do you do when the warranty expires? If that stuff breaks, this doesn't look like a car a Brickboarder can get too intimate with like I am with my 98 V70, without a garage full of test equipment.

With all kinds of discount parts and DIY labor, maintenance is managable right now, but I'm guessing if you buy a new R you better have a wad of cash on hand for the service department after the warranty expires. That's why a 05 T5M (if I can find one) looks a little better to me.

Thoughts are appreciated
