leak on front floor 850

I have a leak on the front passenger and driver side floors, when itr rains - not coolant, but a water leak. I was told there is a drain which can cause this if it is blocked - where do I find it? Is is under the plastic cover which goes over the wiper blade linkage? where underneath is ti, exactly?

thanks

There are two drains builtin to the wiper cover, but they both drain on the engine side of the firewall.
My guess is that the drain tubes for the sunroof have dried and split. Open the sunroof and check the drain holes up front, one on each side. pour 1/2 cup of water in each one and see if you floor gets wet again.

thanks - and I assume replacing the drain tubes is not easy - can they be treaded through or does one need to remove the sunroof and the windshield side rails?

      thanks

If I remember correctly, the drain tubes are in two pieces and it is the bottom section that deteriorates. Yes, they are hard to get to, and no, removing the sunroof does nothing for you.
Are you sure the windshield isn't leaking. That would be a much easier fix!

I JUST HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I TOOK THE EURO RAILS OF MY 850 TO BUFF THE CAR. THERE ARE 3 SCREWS ON EACH RAIL WHEN I TOOK THEM OUT TO WASH THE CAR IT FLOODED BOTH SIDES UNDER THE FLOOR MATS. I ALSO NOTICED WHEN I TOOK THE SCREWS OUT THERE WAS CAULK ON EACH ONE, I WOULD THINK TO KEEP WATER OUT. GET SOME 5200 MADE BY 3M AND DAB EACH SCREW, AND BE CAREFUL THAT STUFF IS SUPPER MESSY. JUST A SHOT IN THE DARK...GOOD LUCK
