I disconnected the battery to replace the starter, and then put the dealer code in to reset the stereo only to find out that this stereo is from another car, okay got the right code for this stereo and know I can not get the damn thing out of OFF mode. I've tried disconnecting the battery overnite(nothing) I've tried leaving the key turned to the #2 position for a period of 1hrplus(per the dealership) and this did not work either HELP please!!! any one,,, I need to hear car talk on saturdays! thanx tommy

    Put the key in pos I and turn the radio on. Wait 2 hours. One hour plus is not long enough! Disconnecting the battery or pulling the fuses won't help, just wait for 2 hours.

    Disconnect and then hook up the battery again...turn off all the lights, A/C fan, etc. in the car and leave the key in II for longer. Should work within 2 hours. I read this on another post here that it had worked...but can't find the post after looking for it for awhile. Good luck.
