HELP PLEASE! my radio is locked up, didn't have the right code and now i have no noise. i have been unable to reset the stereo after the battery died, and the radio locked, the closest dealer, 500+ miles away, said to put it on the battery charger with the key on for 2-3 hours to reset the computer, but no luck.... any pointers? thanks!!!

The key only needs to be in position I (acc), but the radio needs to be on for 2 hours before it will say CODE again. Battery charger not normally required, unless the battery is geting old.

Call the dealer or another and give them your VIN number...see if they give you the code. Some way to prove your the owner would help. Explain the situation and fax them your title...about all I can think of without the drive in to them.
