Has anyone had any luck with solder or other repair materials

If the aluminum has sprung a leak, then there are also other weak places in your radiator, even if you were to repair it (some radiator shops do solder them). In other words, it's just a matter of time before you will have to replace it anyway. My recommendation is to get a new one. If I recall correctly a few years ago, I bought one at www.eeuroparts.com and had good results with their radiator. If possible, try to get one without plastic, but I don't recall if that was possible on our replacement or not.

It's really a shame you can't just repair things anymore. The blacksmith in town taught me how to remove the whole cooling tube,that was leaking on the old metal radiators. and solder it off top and bottom. Worked good as new and
the repair cost a few cents. oh well
