Engine Motor Mounts S70

How do you know if an engine mount is really crushed or worn or if the dealer is just in another service sales mode. I did notice any shaking or noise and the dealer says to botton back driver side mount is crushed. Also the top mount of the engine is "worn" or starting to show cracks. I have this one replaced 15,000 mile ago (two years) and another dealer, so how could it be worn so quickly.

For the top mount, I highly recommend the IPD split unit. About 20 minutes to install and doesn't wear out like the factory version. www.ipdusa.com

Thanks for the info. Does this require any special tools to remove the old one before replacing with the new ipd upper mount. Can a non mechanic like me do it?

No special tools needed. You need to cut the old mount to get it out--I used a hacksaw blade. Be careful not to cut into the bracket itself. A very simple job and IPD provides instructions.
