Does anyone know the Alpine number of the 6 disc CD changer that Volvo used/uses. I have called Alpine and given them the Volvo part number from 1994, no luck. Called Volvo Help line, was told to call the dealer. Called the dealer, and have not received a call back in over a week. I need to order/replace the little air cushions inside the changer and figure Alpine may still stock them, but I do not know what the Alpine stock number is to try and order the repair parts. I suppose as a last resort I could pull the changer and send Alpine the part and see if they can replace it.

For @ the 94 year I am fairly certain that you are looking at the
model CHM-5601 or CHM-5620.
The cushions on the inside of these units should be identical.
FYI, you can try small "O - rings" available from any hardware/plumbing
supply store as replacements for the air cushions.
Did the old cushions fall into the unit?

The cushions look like a mini ballon or air bag. The changer is support on them. One side must have leaked out air and now the changer sits inside the housing at an angle and ejects the cartridge any time you hit a reasonable bump in the road. I am assuming if I change the mini air bags, the unit will return to normal operation.
