While troubleshooting a strange sound in the airconditioning vent system I pulled a fuse which then illuminated the Airbag warning light. I have an OBDII scanner, but no codes are present. Anyone know how to reset this light without having the dealers computer???

I've had the dash pad off of my 1999 *S70* and this required removing the passenger's side airbag. When I put everything back together, I also had an airbag warning light on. My OBDII checker (Equus 3100) also did not show any codes, but the ERASE button was still able to clear the warning light. Try it.

That was a great hint, but sorry to say it didn't work with my code reader. Looks like it's time to let the dealer charge me $100 to reset a stupid light. I'll never own another Volvo.

Thanks for the description on how to rest the Airbag light. I assume the LH stalk is the left hand trip reset arm on the instrument cluster (???). I performed the actions you suggested, and saw a code 26 appear in the left MFD, but no luck in resetting the light or code. Not only that, but I can't seem to find a DTC code 26 on any of the web sites -- all the codes I found have three digits ???? Am I doing something wrong?

The 26 is the number of codes,
You have to step though all of them (use the button several times until you get the same number (26) back) then hold down for 15 secs.

OBD-II only senses the emmissions (engine and transmission) issues.
My understanding is that airbag light are a dealer-only reset.
