Check all the door latches and hood and trunk switches first. If I don't close hood with authority, sometimes it won't push on the microswitch and lights won't blink when engaging the alarm. If I push fully on the hood and make the microswitch work, the lights then blink.

MIKER, My Friend you were right on top of this one...i went out and let the hood drop and the turn signals now flash fine when locking...i was babying the hood too much did not let it drop but ease it down to a smooth close..Thanks Again..

This is what this community is all about. Now you can relax 'cause there's nothing wrong. This is also an indicator if you DO leave a door, hood, trunk unlatched.

I think they call it an undocumented feature.
