ABS/Service lights

I'm a newcommer to FWD Volvos, having owned many RWD models. I recently purchased a 98 S-70, put on new brake pads and rotors, cleaned the ABS sensors/wheels in the rear. Now how do I get the ABS light on the dash to go out, and while I'm at it the check engine and service lights need to be reset.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely your ABS Control Unit has failed. All of them will eventually fail after they reach 80,000 miles or 5 years.
Reading the ABS codes costs about $125.00 at the dealer and about 95% of the time, the diagnosis is a defective ABS Control Unit.

Here's information I have on this subject.
    Vitor's ABS Web page

Check Engine Light could be related to a defective ABS unit; however, you need to read the codes thru the OBDII connector to find more information.

The service light can only be reset by the dealer, an indy repair shop or by purchasing a tool to reset the mileage counter for the service interval.

I doubt it's a wheel sensor...most likely the ABS Controller. A guy by the name of Victor will rebuild it for you, all for about $150 including shipping. He'll even give you directions on how to take if off and put it back on. Do a search here for ABS and you'll find plenty.

By the way, you didn't mention what car this is for.
