Door Lock Assembly S70

I have a '99 S70 -- looks like the door lock assembly needs to replaced since the door lock knob pushes down but it doesn't actually lock (so says the mechanic). I want to try to replace it on my own -- has anyone done it before? Is it tricky or doable? I am not the craftiest person with cars but can manage. Thanks.

    I did one on a 99 and the only trouble was getting the rod to land in the correct place from the lock cyl. If it is pass. side this would not be a problem. the job was not bad otherwise!
